New Year Greetings

Hello out there...what up? Happy New Year! Is it February already? Time to get to all that exercise I said I'd do this year. Tennis anyone? Golf? I want to play alot more golf this year! With this relatively mild Winter we've been having, I should dust off the sticks and put them back in the trunk and at least hit the driving range after work until the days get a bit longer. Ok then, I will do just that this weekend. Time to follow through!! Sarah and I joined a small local health club a few days ago and we are talking the crap out of our work outs. Maybe I'll blog about our first workout! Hopefully that will be soon! Perhaps this weekend. I'm trying to remember where the storage bin is with shorts and stuff in it...I wonder if I have any suitable attire for the gym. This is stressin' me out a little bit. Guy with fat gut stands out enough...guy with fat gut and tacky workout suit is really gonna turn some sweaty heads. I'll have to see what I have and go from there. Are head bands still in?

Has it been 4 months since the last post?

I had better write myself a note again...I can't believe that next week is Thanksgiving! Where does the time go? Doesn't seem like it's been 4 months since July. We've added a new kitten to the Anacortes family, his name is Tenor Sax 5th Avenue and he is growing like a weed and constantly being a pest to his older sister Calvin. Very cute little guy and we are enjoying his company very much. Other than that...it is pretty much work, work, work with a little down time here and there, nothing too exciting to blog about. I don't remember this blog is here most of the time. Maybe we'll post a couple more through the Holidays just in case anyone still peeks in every once in a while. Have a nice Thanksgiving!! Much to be thankful for! Cheers!

July is here!

July 1st. This will be an active month, many fun events on the calendar and 49th birth anniversary! I'd better get in shape this year so I can tear it up when I turn 50! I will try to blog to myself after some of these upcoming July events. I don't think anyone reads our blog anymore, but it is fun to compose anyhoo. Happy Independence Day America!! Cheers!

It's been awhile

I'm out of practice...let's see if I can BLOG.

Kay has been on my mind lately. I miss her. I miss my responsibility for taking care of her. We took care of each other.

Like I said, I'm out of practice.

Spring has Arrived

Things have settled a bit now, time is softening the vacancy like only time can do. We are adjusting to our home without Mama Kay. We think of her often and enjoy the memories when they pop into view. Enjoy the moments! Sarah and I are doing well and we are enjoying life as we slowly chip away at all the projects we have listed on our growing "to do"list. Hopefully we'll take turns sharing thoughts on this blog every now and then...and one more thing just made the list!

I think I'll go golfing! To be continued...Cheers!

Odd Feeling Part 2

2009 is underway...our Anacortes home is missing the wonderful presence of our beloved Mama Kay. Ethel Katharyn Stone Nicodemus stepped off the planet on her way to heaven on the morning of December 30th, 2008. We miss her very much and it is still an odd feeling to be in this place without her. Sarah and I will always think of her and we are trying to adjust to the difference one moment at a time. Calvino misses her too! It is just the three of us now until we do something impetuous like come home with a new kitten or dog or fish or salamander? We don't think Calvin needs any competition right now, we'll most likely let her be the Queen until she decides she's lived long enough, hopefully that won't be for quite some time.

I'll sign off with a nice photo memory of Kay and Sarah, one of countless wonderful moments that we shared while we were blessed with the company of Mama Kay Nicodemus! We love you Mom! You will always be missed! Cheers! Tim and Sarah and Calvino

Odd feeling

Well, here we go. I've made my lists and keep checking them, twice and thrice. Kay is going to be picked up at 10:00ish this morning, so my first priority is getting everything together for her. We found a wonderful facility here in Anacortes that will take care of her while we're out of town.

I can't believe that Tim and I will be on plane tomorrow morning and that we'll be away for a full week! The morning schedule as of late has been difficult. Just getting her out of bed, fed and changed is a struggle. I pray that all goes well today. I have a feeling that once the "transfer" happens I'll come home and take a wonderful nap.

So, this is what's happening...Tim and I are flying to AZ to share Thanksgiving festivities with my sister and her in-law family and then meet up with friends and drive to Mexico to relax and play. As much as I'm looking forward to getting away, it's still an odd feeling. The house is quiet at such an early hour but I know that things need to happen soon to get ready. Packing count down.

Big breath, hot tea, oatmeal for me and away we go. Kay will be taken care of, well! Another big breath.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!
